FSC « Neurovita » diffuses information of thermal water sources from the resort «Atomska Banja», Serbia.

 

Atomska Banja resort is located in the village of Gornja Trepcha, in central Serbia, 140 km from Belgrade. The resort is located in the northern part of the Cachak basin, on the slopes of the Vuyan and Bukovik mountains, in the narrow valley of the Banya River, at an altitude of 460 m.


In 1957, the Institute of Climatology and Medical Hydrology in Belgrade carried out chemical analyses of water and confirmed the indications for its use in the treatment of rheumatic and gynaecological diseases. In 1977, Gornja Trepcha obtained the status of a spa resort.

 

According to studies conducted by the Institute of Neurology of the Clinical Centre of Serbia on patients with multiple sclerosis treated in a rehabilitation centre in 2010, excellent results have been achieved in terms of rehabilitation in these patients.

 

These studies have been published and presented at numerous international neurologists' congresses in 2011. Other neurological diseases, such as hemiplegia and hemiparesis, post-stroke status, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, polyneuropathy, are successfully treated in this resort.
